Bozcaada MT

Bozcaada magnetotelluric station (GEO: 39.5N, 26.02E, MAG: 37.5N, 106.1E) was setup in 2013 to study the ground level magnetic and electric field disturbances in Turkey during geomagnetic storms. The LEMI-417M system comprises of one fluxgate magnetometer, one GPS receiver, one electrometer with connections to four electrodes, one data logger operating with the LEMI417 software and one solar panel to power the system. It provides the ground electric field components (east-west and north-south) and the magnetic field components (X: east-west, Y: north-south, Z: vertical) with 1 second resolution along with the temperature of the surrounding and the fluxgate magnetometer temperature. The instruments were obtained from the Lviv Centre of Institute for Space Research (http://www.isr.lviv.ua/lemi417.htm).

Below an example of a magnetically disturbed interval is presented.
